Essex is a traditional Gambrel-style home in Narberth; FHA had undertaken a comprehensive property renovation. The renovation involved removing most of the first-floor walls, creating an open floor plan conducive to a modern living environment. The Kitchen, designed and customized by FHA, is now the centerpiece of the Living Space. It features a state-of-the-art stove installed in front of the existing windows to allow natural light and ventilation to enter the room, creating a bright and airy atmosphere.

In addition to the Kitchen, the renovation project included a custom deck that provides a perfect outdoor entertaining space. The Family Entry was redesigned to make it more functional and aesthetically appealing. The second-floor plan was also completely redesigned to offer more space and functionality. Sugartown is a contemporary one-story home that was designed by 74-year-old Earle Fralick in 1980 for 34-year-old Bob Douglas. The living area of the house wraps around an indoor pool that was once covered by a retractable glass ceiling. The pool has been removed and replaced with a modern, spacious kitchen that has become the central hub of the home, creating flow and openness to all the surrounding rooms and outdoor spaces. Now, the views and focal points of the house are the custom-designed wine room and the natural surroundings, which give the feeling of being removed from the outside world.

Located in Malvern, Pennsylvania a historic bank barn that had fallen into disrepair was restored and converted into a single-family residence. The project involved removing the roof structure, the north wall, and the bent trusses, exposing only the existing stone walls. The walls were then repointed with natural lime mortar to restore their original beauty. To create the new residence, the project team designed a new roof structure supported by exposed roof structures and metal panels. This design allowed for an open and airy feel to the space while preserving the barn's historic charm. The flooring was also repurposed from reclaimed gymnasium benches, adding a unique touch to the finished product. Throughout the restoration process, great care was taken to assemble all materials in a manner that allowed the structure and the materials to tell a story. The result is a stunning combination of old and new, with each element complementing the other to create a beautiful and functional living space. The restoration of this historic bank barn is a testament to the value of preserving our architectural heritage. By taking the time and effort to restore and repurpose existing structures, we can create unique and sustainable living spaces that honor the past while embracing the future.
